How this is calculated
Date differences exclude the start date and use calendar days, independent of daylight-saving time. Negative differences mean the end precedes the start. Time durations use the displayed clock times and your same-day/next-day choice, not a time zone.
Calendar days are not necessarily 24 elapsed hours. Clock duration does not adjust for daylight-saving changes.
